Who we are
This website is operated by Lin Kayton, trading as Lin Kayton Coaching & Consulting, Kloof, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Lin Kayton is the Information Officer and can be reached at hello@linkayton.com or 083 799 9520.
This policy explains how we handle personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
What we collect and why
- Booking a clarity chat: when you book, you use Google Calendar's appointment scheduling. Google collects the details you enter (such as your name, email address and any notes) and shares them with us so we can hold the conversation and follow up with you.
- Contacting us: if you email, phone or message us on LinkedIn, we keep your contact details and message so we can respond.
- Website analytics: only if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about how the site is used, such as pages visited, device type and approximate location. We use this to improve the site. We do not use it to identify you.
This website itself has no forms and does not store your personal information.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers to run our business, including Google (calendar, email and analytics). They process information on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. Their servers may be located outside South Africa, in countries with adequate data protection laws or under agreements that protect your information. We never sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as the law requires.
How we protect it
We use reputable providers, secure connections (HTTPS), two-factor authentication on our accounts, and limit access to your information.
Your rights
You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email hello@linkayton.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa at www.inforegulator.org.za.
Cookies
We use analytics cookies only with your consent. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
